Security Council: Opening first topic- Rafaela Jinich

In the Security Council committee, the first topic is a pertinent issue which derives the help from many delegations to reach a solution. This first topic being US and Iran tensions was opened to the agenda this morning. The delegation of Iran, being one of the protagonists of the issue marks a clear alliance with Russia upon the statement that they both belief there should not be any sanctions implemented or decreased to threaten any delegation. However, the delegation of Iran expresses their belief to find a solution immediately where both parts of the conflict would be benefited, however the solution must have limits to avoid increasing conflict. To contradict this delegation, shortly afterwards the delegation of Kenya made a clear point on how the Iranian government lacks transparency and this is seen in the Iranian Nuclear Deal made recently. Adding on, the delegation of Kenya refers to Iran as an "unstable country" because they tend to defend their problems by saying they were "human mistakes" instead of having the government own up to it. The committee is looking forwards to finding a solution to this important current issue which must be addressed as soon as possible.
