UNHCR: Syria Vs. Syrian Rebels
Syrian rebels are attacking the Syrian government, who stated western intervention would harm trade and the price of oil. The Syrian government was asked about the crisis and they stated that the issue started when the Syrian rebels started protesting. The Syrian government additionally stated that any protest, even peaceful protests, go against the Syrian government.
In response, rebels propose that the economy depends on countries such as Iraq, Jordan and Turkey that are allied with western powers… They propose that if Syria decides to separate from western involvement then it will harm the economy.
The delegates entered a lobby time to form blocks and begin to work on resolutions for the working papers. Debate during lobby time gets heated…
